A new aquatic entertainment facility at Petticoat Creek Conservation Area is under construction, and is expected to open in June 2011. This replaces the existing 35 year old swimming pool that has been a fixture in the Pickering community.
The overall development will include a state-of-the-art 3200 square metre wading pool and swimming area that has a 750-person capacity, and a splash pad with interactive water features. The facility will use sustainable technologies to power pool equipment and heat the water for an enjoyable swimming experience.
Due to the construction, the existing pool is closed for the 2010 summer season.

Pet Policy:
Pets are permitted at most Toronto and Region Conservation areas; however, for the safety and enjoyment of everyone, we do insist that:
- pets are kept on a leash at all times
- owners clean up after their pets
- pets are not allowed in the visitors centre
Groups and Education:
During the summer months, Petticoat Creek Conservation Area plays host to numerous day camps and day cares. We offer an ideal location with many shaded areas, picnic shelters for lunch and snack times, open fields for sports and plenty of washrooms.
Group camping is available at Petticoat Creek Conservation Area for groups of 20 or more. For more information on group camping or to make a reservation, please contact our customer service at 416-667-6295 (Mon-Fri, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm).

With 12 picnic sites located throughout the park, Petticoat Creek Conservation Area can easily accommodate groups, both large and small.
