Lakeview Waterfront Connection Project

Credit Valley Conservation, on behalf of the Region of Peel and with the support of the City of Mississauga and Toronto and Region Conservation, has embarked on a project entitled Lakeview Waterfront Connection. The Lakeview Waterfront Connection Project, an element of the Inspiration Lakeview visioning process in 2010, includes the creation of a new waterfront park along the eastern Mississauga shoreline. The intended purpose of this project is to enhance and re-create natural coastal habitats, to build a natural park that encourages public access, use and exploration along the waterfront, and facilitate sustainable city building.

The Lakeview Waterfront Connection is subject to the requirements of the Ontario Environmental Assessment Act as a project that necessitates an Individual Environmental Assessment (EA).

The LWC Project Terms of Reference (ToR) was approved by the Ministry of Environment on December 5th, 2012, and the Notice of Commencement for the Environmental Assessment was released on January 2nd, 2013.
