Amendments to the DMNP EA
The DMNP EA underwent an extensive review in 2012 as part of the City of Toronto and Waterfront Toronto's Port Lands Acceleration Initiative (PLAI). This review concluded with the passing of City of Toronto Council Resolution #EX22.1 in October 2012.
As a result, TRCA, Waterfront Toronto and the City of Toronto are proceeding with amendments to the DMNP EA over the next several months to reflect the outcomes of the PLAI. For more information on the results of the PLAI, please visit the Port Lands Consultation website

Port Lands Acceleration Initiative
At its September 21, 2011 meeting, Toronto City Council unanimously adopted a protocol for the review of development opportunities in the Port Lands. As a result of this Resolution, the Ministry of the Environment has paused the review and approvals for the DMNP EA pending a review by City of Toronto Council.
Waterfront Toronto, the City of Toronto, TRCA, and other agencies are working to address the protocol adopted by Toronto City Council by developing an approach to completing the Port Lands Development and Implementation Plan.
Complete information regarding this initiative, including project documents and opportunities to participate, can be found on the Port Lands Consultation website.

ARCHIVE (2010 - 2011)
NOTICE OF SUBMISSION - Environmental Assessment (EA) for the Don Mouth Naturalization and Port Lands Flood Protection Project (December 17, 2010)
TRCA and Waterfront Toronto would like to thank everyone for their support and involvement in the development of the Environmental Assessment for the Don Mouth Naturalization and Port Lands Flood Protection Project.
As required under section 6.2(1) of the Environmental Assessment Act and according to the Terms of Reference approved by the Minister of the Environment on August 17, 2006, TRCA has submitted its environmental assessment to the Ministry of the Environment for review and approval.
This project will transform the existing mouth of the Don River (the "Don Mouth"), including the Keating Channel, into a healthier, more naturalized river outlet to the Toronto Inner Harbour and Lake Ontario, while at the same time removing the risk of flooding to over 290 hectares of urban land to the east and south of the river.
The EA is available for public review and comment from December 17, 2010 to February 11, 2011. The EA has been made available for download by Chapter in PDF format below.
