Description
Support Rouge Park as a volunteer in the Tour de Greenbelt, a fresh air festival on wheels and foot. This year's event is coming up on September 15th, and we will need a great team of volunteers to make it a super success. On average, the shifts will be 6 hours each. You can choose to help in the week of the event or on the day of the event. Learn more about the Tour de Greenbelt at www.tourdegreenbelt.ca. You can apply online from that website, or with this direct link: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/TDGB2012volunteer You can volunteer on your own, with your family, with friends or as a community group.
Last year's event had 350 cyclists tour Rouge Park and the surrounding Greenbelt communities, and this year we're adding a run and walk element so there's something for everyone!! As a result, we are expecting many more participants. With that, we need more event support, and that's where you come in. We do hope you will sign on, and again it can be as little as 6 hours of your time to make the Tour a big success for Rouge Park as we celebrate all the great things we and our neighbouring communities offer.
You'll get a great event tshirt, local food BBQ and a fun day in Rouge Park supporting a most excellent celebration of biodiversity and wilderness on Toronto's doorstep.
