Valleybrook Community Project
Check out the events and workshops that are happening in the Valleybrook community.
Homeowners can learn what they can do to their properties to help the Etobicoke Creek and the environment. Workshops will be delivered throughout the following year. Stay tuned for further details.
Tuesdays on the Trail:
From May - Sept 2013 we will be offering guided nature walks along the Etobicoke Creek Trail. This is a great opportunity for residents to enjoy nature and explore wildlife close to home.
Native trees and shrubs have been planted along the creek providing a natural filtration to pollutants and preventing erosion. Native wildflowers have been planted to help create habitat for declining pollinators.
A huge THANK-YOU goes out too many school and community groups for helping clean up garbage along the creek! These efforts are important in keeping the Etobicoke Creek trail beautiful and litter free.
This project is in partnership with the TRCA, City of Brampton, Brampton Horticultural Society and Community Environment Alliance. Due to the generosity of the Ontario Trillium Foundation and the Region of Peel, this project will provide opportunities for neighbourhood residents to get involved with environmental events in the community.
