Fishing

Fishing at Glen Haffy

As you cast your fishing line into the water, all is still... and somehow, the woes of everyday life escape your mind, as you nestle yourself at the water's cusp. Traffic, dinner plans, work stress; it disappears. For now, you are surrounded by nature's essence. The shade of the mature forest keeps you cool, as you enjoy fishing along the banks of the two stocked ponds.

Glen Haffy is home to a fish hatchery that raises rainbow trout, which are released into the fishing ponds at Glen Haffy and the lake at Heart Lake Conservation Areas.

Hiking Trails

Hiking at Glen Haffy

Wander into Glen Haffy's trails, and find yourself entering a natural escape. Wide trails weave you through a landscape of trees that reach far into the sky. Sunlight splashes through the leaves in the treetops, painting a canvas of light on the forest floor. Surrounding you is nothing but the soothing sound of nature's tune; a cardinal's whistle, a bullfrog's croak.

Both the Niagara Escarpment and the Bruce Trail converge at Glen Haffy, offering three serene hiking trails: the Green Trail (0.85 km or 30 minutes), the Red Trail (2.7 km or 60 minutes), and the Blue Trail (2.5 km or 45 minutes).
