Oak Ridges Corridor Nature Reserve Draft Management Plan – Public Comment Period
Toronto and Region Conservation (TRCA) is seeking comments from the public on the draft Oak Ridges Corridor Nature Reserve Management Plan. The draft plan is available for public review and comment from April 27, 2011 to May 27, 2011.
Oak Ridges Corridor Park Nature Reserve is a property owned by TRCA and the Ministry of Natural Resources, and is located on the Oak Ridges Moraine in the Town of Richmond Hill. The property is over 175 hectares in size, and is dominated by forests and wetlands, and consists of many unique and sensitive natural areas.
The management plan document lays out a series of management recommendations and actions that seek to protect the natural heritage system of Oak Ridges Corridor Nature Reserve, while also providing for enjoyable nature-based recreation for visitors.
TRCA would like to thank everyone who supported and participated in the development of the management plan.
The public is invited to review the draft Oak Ridges Corridor Park Nature Reserve Management Plan, and provide comments by May 27, 2011 to:
